Andy Pears began working for Unlock Bristol in July 2010. early work focussed on making the project, and Andy, known in and around the inner city areas of Bristol. He has been greatly encouraged by the excitement and enthusiasm with which Unlock has been received by many people.

He has worked with a group of Afro-Caribbean women and their adult sons, who gather on a Thursday afternoon to explore their lives in relation to the Bible. Members of this group have grown in confidence and taken on the leadership role. He has developed Bible enagement work with a range of groups and individuals including; single dads, ex-offenders, adicts, and local homeless dog owners. He has also worked to develop a community garden project in Bristol. Bristol is a very diverse and multi-cultural city.

Unlock is working in partnership with the Bristol Inner City Churches Partnership (www.stlukesbartonhill.org.uk/partnership.htm).
